So – 6 months of chemo, just a little under, surgery after, radiation after that. Apparently a year…or maybe a bit less…

Also waiting to hear if I will have private cover for at least the 6 months of chemo. I hope so because I met the doc who I would be under if so and I really liked him. Fully supportive of my work, travel, working out ways I can do it all. And said starting chemo end of August, when I plan to get back from Amman, is totally fine. He is practical, connected (not to ISIS however, at least not ostensibly so anyway), pragmatic and clearly very experienced.
And I will go bald…who is with me for forming the new Abba wig band…I have a referral for a wig place, acrylic wigs…no thanks….electric blue ones perhaps….

Now you have a plan. Good. I have a beautiful (very acrylic) long purple wig that I would be happy to ship over. I bought this wig on my last trip to Dublin. Given my “middle age” status, I’m not sure where exactly I thought I might wear said wig. Some people buy mad sports cars. I buy wigs and the same black and white striped jeans I used to wear in the 70s. The jeans have been given away, but the purple wig remains. I think I’ll hold on to it for my (reluctant) trip to Florida in October with Michael. There, my purple, glossy, totally fake hair will be accepted in the land of blue and purple rinses, and I will be queen. But I digress (of course), I’m so glad you are surrounded by medical people who you can actually work with, and who HEAR you (rare as that can be in the medical profession). No less than you deserve. XX

a PLAN. And one by someone who gets that there is more in your plan that a treatment, and that you have a busy and beautiful life, too. Somehow it make sense that Amman should be a part of this. Clearly I fell head over heels for the ISIS doc. So now you can actually take the steps to heal.

Of course, I’m up for the Abba wig band .. You’ll look great in electric blue! I’ve always wanted a wig, though I’d like mine in electric orange please?

It sounds like you have the right medical people around you, so important, keeping my fingers crossed that you’re covered so you can stay with this doc. On wigs – erm, no…. a beautiful African headdress perhaps? Much more you, Trout 🙂 xxx
